Dear Readers,
Today, I came across this passage in my daily devotion, and it's shows what harmful effect can
happens if we do not learn to control our anger.
King Naebuchadnezzar, had decree that all will have to bow down to the golden image upon hearing various musical instruments being played.
However, there were 3 men who remained faithful to their own God ( Jesus ) and refused to bow down and worship the golden image.
In his rage, he puts Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into a burning furnace.
When he didn't get his way, he was full of fury and his expression changed.
All of us struggle with anger, but anger is not wrong only when we do not sin. ( Eph. 4:26 )
We should get angry when we see injustice in our world.
But most often, our anger comes from a far less noble place - our self interest and pride.
If our temper gets the better of us we can lose control of what we say and do.
But, Paul challlenged us, " Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. ( Phil. 2:3 )
By putting others first, we've taken the first step toward managing our anger.
Now, the second lesson we can learn from this passage is the faith portrayed by these three men when they were thrown into the fiery furnace.
The fire was sso intense that some of them who put them in were burnt.
However, a miracle happens, the King was astonished to see a fourth person ( the form is like the Son of God ) in the fire, with the three men, and they were not consumed by the fire.
The King went near and called out; servants of the most high God , come out and come here.
** WHEN A PERSON'S TEMPER GETS THE BEST OF HIM, IT OFTEN REVEALS THE WORST OF HIM.
** STAND UP! STAND UP! FOR JESUS, YE SOLDIERS
OF THE CROSS.

You seem to take it for granted that it is only a man that can lose his temper. " WHEN A PERSONS TEMPER GETS THE BEST OF HIM, IT OFTEN REVEALS THE WORST OF HIM" I seem to remember one that goes along these line " Hell hath no fury like a WOMAN scorned"
You were being very sexist in your blog, please try not to in future. Thank you Gordon...
