I am prompted to write on this topic because the " Devil," has been using this tatic to provoke the " innocents", to commit sin.
We as children of light must be wary of the evil " darts and arrows."
Let us put on the whole armour of God so as to withstands against the principalities and darkness of this world.
The evil ones spread rumour, deceits, and insinuations to throw us off guards, worse they provoke the " innocents " to do that which is wrong ( against God ) and to commit sin.
We certainly must be wary of such trickery and deceitfulness.
They( the evil ones ) not only create confusions, but also strifes and causing chaos and tumult to the people.
The worse is many non believers ( non Christians ; including some weak or nominal Christians ) to fall away, and be trapped in the web of sins.
However, we as Christians must not allowed them to carry out such " evil doings," as it will definite be leads to an unhealthy community and is detrimental to the welfare of the societies.
IN HEB. 10:24,25 ;- WE ARE BEING ENCOURAGED TO PROVOKE ONE ANOTHER TO LOVE AND TO GOOD WORKS. NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER, AS THE MANNER OF SOME IS, BUT EXALTING ONE ANOTHER, AND SO MUCH THE MORE AS WE SEE THE DAYS APPROACHING.'
WE CERTAINLY DO NOT CONDONE SUCH BLANTANT ATTITUDE OF THE UNGODLY, TO PROVOKE OTHERS TO DO EVIL WORKS OR THAT WHICH IS HARMFUL TO THE PEOPLE.

MAY YOUR 'EYES AND EARS" BE RECEPTIVE TO DISCERN THAT WHICH IS RIGHT IN THE " EYES OF GOD." AMEN.

Last Sunday, the commissioner of the Salvation Army, spoken on these passage. The gist of this passage is very enlightening and meaning, if we learnt to show our concern for others.
The disciples were asked by Jesus to give them something to eat, as the day was well spent, and He noticed that the people must be hungry after listening to His teachings.
However, the disciples were quick to response, and said to Jesus, let just sent them away to go and get their own food.
Firstly, as they do not have enough resources or money to buy food for so many people.
Secondly, they were far away from town ( in the mountain ), and the best thing to them, is to just sent them away, to get their own food.
Thirdly, they have just two loaves and five fish, and it isn't sufficient to feed the five thousands.
Nevertheless, Jesus beckoned them to sit down, and He began to distribute the loaves and fish to the disciples, who then, passed it on to the people, until all were fed. The remains was twelve baskets full.
It is indeed an awesome miracle that Jesus had performed in front of them.
Jesus is not just concerned about our spiritual poverty, but he is also concerned for our physical needs. ( GIVE THEM TO EAT ).
Many people does not understand our God enough to trust Him for our physical needs. We are often short sighted or " Blind ", that is, why God always said may our " Eyes" and " Ears", be opened.
FOR HE IS THE LIVING BREAD THAT COMES DOWN FROM HEAVEN, AND THERE IS NONE BESIDE HIM.
Yes, many times, we show our lack of "FAITH," in trusting Him for our needs.
Just like these people, we always or only believe, when we can " SEE. "
But, the Lord said, " BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO BELIEVED, EVENTHOUGH THEY CANNOT SEE."
LET US THEREFORE, EXAMINED OURSELVES, AND LOOK TO HIM WHO IS OUR HOPE, OUR " BREAD OF LIFE.'
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EYES AND EARS, MAY YOU BEGIN TO ' SEE AND HEAR.' AMEN.

I'm prompted to write on this matter in particular, as the people were becoming more indifference to sexuality. The latest being the promotion of pole dancing as a national event, and lately belly dancing.
Eventhough, there seems to be nothing wrong " prima facie", we shouldn't condone such activities to be held in the eyes of the public.
We are no saints, and we certainly do not wish to expose ourselves to such temptation of the " Eyes".
Previously,such events were held in HDB estates, and many people; parents bring their children, were unaware of possible " ill effect ", or bad influence on themselves and their children.
More permissiveness may leads to the errosion of the " mind."
" Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleaness, passion, evil desire, and coveteousness which is idolatry. Because of all these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
But now you yourselves are to put off these; anger, wrath, malice , blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds. ( Clo. 3: 5-9 )

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering: bearing with one another, if anyone has a complaint against another: even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
But above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection.vs. 12-14

I'm no saint, but let us as elect of God, put of the " Old man", and be renewed in our hearts, mind and soul, that we may present ourselves HOLY and acceptable to God which is our reasonable service. Amen.

The recent tragic and bizarre case of two boys that jumped to their death which was brought up after one year later is really an eye opener to us with regards to the kind of media information which the SPH can choose to disseminate to the public.
Such a tragedy could well be avoided if less religious tolerance with regards to the way some of this so call “ Religious “ teachings or customs are permitted or allowed to be in practice.
I was appalled that there were two Christian couples that were punished with fine and imprisonment for the distribution of certain tracts that was purported to have some undesirable effect on another faith or religious group.
Unfortunately, the same principle or action was not applied to this religious group/s which the Government has certainly had apparently seems to afford more tolerance.
I am not trying to compare the degree of tolerance accorded to the various religious groups, but certainly we do not want to pass such a message to the public.
However, such kind of tolerance shown to these religious groups, is indeed going to have an undesirable effect on the community or society.
Moreover, there had been many such cases which are related to such “ Mediums” practices, and had caused a couple of innocent lives to be lost as well.
Hence, more stringent actions must be taken against such unhealthy religious practices, so as to prevent another of these bizarre incidents from happenings.
Religious tolerance is important; however, such practices must not be allowed to continue to the detrimental of our society. We certainly do not want any more of such things to happen again, before we “WAKE UP.” More severe punishment must be meted out as a warning against such practices, so as to act as a strong deterrent.
Fellow reader, may I ask each of you to seriously ponder, and make a RIGHT choice with regards to your belief?
Many of you certainly do not understand “ WHOM YOU ARE BELIEVING?’ if I may allowed to assume.
WHY??? Let me elucidate to you, and correct me if I’m wrong, or choose not to believe without being judgmental.
All religions teaches us to be “ GOOD”, and may I assume that we all certainly agree to that.
Then, ask yourselves, if my religion teaches me to be “ Good”, am I doing the right or “ good” things? If not, then, I mustn’t do that.
Let us take the above mentioned tragedy of the two boys who committed suicide as an example.
In their so called, religious belief; these boys were captivated or so called “ possessed” by the evil ones, who causes them to think in such a manner that they claimed to be able to commune with their God, through such “ Medium “ practices.
It is preposterous, to assume that they are even capable to subdue the demons, and in order to do so, they must first sacrifice themselves by dying to be resurrected again to defeat the demons.
However, this is exactly what is happening to them, which causes them to be possessed
By the “ Devil”, without realizing the consequences.
We are now in the “Twenty First” centuries, and yet, there are such incidents or happenings in this world.
Please therefore, may I ask that if we are indeed more educated, then, why allowed such practices to continue, or to have such religion/s?

CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WOULD BELIEVE.

It's irony...what are we fighting for....FREEDOM!!!!
Now, let me ask you FREEDOM; FREEDOM from WHAT????
Don't ever mix religion with politics....and yet so many politickings...
in government, in work, in school , you can say ;well everywhere.
Freedom to do what we think is right , freedom only for our right....
freedom to be under the captive of the " evil ones ", ( WHAT!!!! - DO YOU REALLY THINK OR CALL THAT FREEDOM?? -THINK!, MY FRIEND, THINK!),who is always the cause of confusion and conflicts, disillusions and all the likes.
What do you understand to be your " Religion?"
In general, we know all know, religions teaches us to be " Good."
Now, what do you understand by " GOOD?." There is NONE that is Good, saves GOD, HIMSELF.
If you said that you have no sin, then you make God a liar.
For in Roms 3:23 ...God said all of us are sinners. " For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." And again in
Roms 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
If we claimed our religion is true, then why do you have conflicts with your brothers and sisters in this world?
True religion is undefiled, it is pure , peaceable, and caring for the poor, the weak , the lame , the blind.
If your religion is great, proof it by your good works.
As long as you do harm to anyone, you are already guilty.
We must be above board, do not succumb to the wickedness of this world,
do that which is right, without partiality.
For not many who claimed that they have done nothing wrong, can enter into the kingdom of God.
Neither, many who claimed to know Jesus, and said, " Lord, Lord , is fit for the kingdom of God. Who are you? I do not know you. If you know me you would not have shown partiality and mistreat the fatherless, the widow, the sick, the lame and the weak. For you serve me only with your lips, but your " Hearts " is far away from me.
If, you said you love me, then show your love to all the " Little " ones,
the fatherless, the widows, the weak, the lame , the blind etc.
As long as you did it to these, you DID IT FOR ME.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IT ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. AMEN.
May the Lord indeed OPEN our EYES and EARS, and our HEARTS to the understanding of HIS WORDS.

I am prompted to write on our " Hearts ", as this was the topic of my discussion with one badminton " Ka -kee " ( buddy ).
He was commenting that whatever a person belief, is good or true, if his 'heart" is good. However, there is a person whom he believe is good, except for his " mouth." - ( which I take it to mean that, he expresses himself badly ). Perhaps, he is referring to the lack of tactfulness or words that this person used, causes hurts in others' feelings.
As, he was speaking in dialect, I had quite a difficulty to comprehend fully what he is driving at. In addition, I find it difficult to convey to him as well, as I couldn't interprete or translate it to his " lingo."
Nevertheless, I must said, he carried his own perception of things, and feels that the "heart" is the main differenciation of ones goodness.
But, I couldn't quite agree with him, with regards to the fact that he claims that, he knows of a person who is good and yet, speaks " badly."
Whatever comes out of the mouth is what that defile the person, and this is what the Lord had spoken.
But, this doesn't mean that the person is " bad", as it could be a misunderstanding or wrong perception construed by the fact of a lack of knowledge or understanding.
However, if a persons heart is " Good ", then, logically, whatever he says should be " good." - ( Looking towards the welfare of others.)
But, in reality this is not so. At times, whatever we said or do, may not complement each other; that is, we tends to said the right thing, but we may not actually do it, or we may do the opposite.
Hence, most of the time we tends to not " Walk the talk."
This is our human weakness - hence, the usual phrase:- " To err is human."
The important point to note is that we need not take it to heart on a particular person inability to fulfil what he said or do at times, unless, it's detrimental to the society or community.
Let us learn to be more gracious and forgiving, and encourage the person on the right path. Instruct and give good advice and even admonishment if necessary, but be humble and cherish each other in the bond of love.
Let us have a HEART that is TRUE, seeking for the GOODNESS of others, always forgiving and loving one another.
ASK THE LORD TO CREATE IN US A PURE HEART , A HEART THAT SEEKS AFTER GOD.
AMEN.

I'm glad that God has been faithful and gracious to me, despite the fact that I may have been a disappointment to Him at times, through my "Poor"
behavior and failure to shine for Him.
To many of us, we may have different devotions, like; some to their family, friends and jobs,husband to wife and vice-versa, etc.
However,what then, do you think is the most important aspect of life that one must be devoted to?
Well, there is no right or wrong answer to this question, for the most important aspect of one, may differ from each individuals.*
As it depends on a person preference, a person belief or conviction,
or ones objective in life.
As for myself, being a christian, the most important aspect of my devotion is to God, to family and then, to friends.
God must be the center of our lives, ( well, it is often easier said, than done ), for most of us, including myself.
Well, it doesn't have to be this way, but for our human nature is weak, we tends to be like that.
However, claiming on the word of God in 2 Cor. 5:17 - " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new."
In Roms. 12: 1,2 - We are told :- " I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service".
The key words is first - PRESENT YOUR BODIES AS A LIVING SACRIFICE; BE NOT CONFORMED, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND.
If we can apply these basic principles of the Word of God in our lives,
I am sure we can SET OUR HEART, OUR MIND AND SOUL to our God, we are on our way to a VICTORIOUS Christian life.
May the Lord indeed, soften our heart, and quicken our souls and and mind, open our eyes and ears to His words.

*Isn't it better to choose a more nobler FOCUS , and DEVOTE ourselves to it.

It's my pleasure to share with you my experiences of the recent answered prayer that we( Shaun, Badriah, and myself) can testified.
Last Tuesday, at about 6 pm, while Shaun and I was preparing to make a short trip to the Lower Pierce Reservoir for our regular jog.
However, the dark outcast in the sky looks rather impossible for us to go for the jog. I told my son, let's do a short jog, and I'm sure we would be able to get back before the rain starts.
Our neighbour, on seeing us preparing to go for the jog despite the dark outcast in the sky, told us don't be strike by lightning.
Well, I replied as children of God, we are blessed and protected.
God wouldn't allowed that to happen to us.
We proceeded to go ahead with the jog. We started jogging, and we managed to complete our run. While at the reservoir, we could see the rain had already started to pour about 300 meters away. I told my son, let hurry up, before the rain reaches us. We were at least 1.5 km away from our house.
My son, suddenly told me to move slower, as he felt a stitch in his stomach region.
Then, we felt a few rain drops, and it was beginning to drizzle.
My son was turning abit panicky, and said Pa, it's already raining.
I told him I will protect him, and the rain came. However, the path where we were walking wasn't as heavy , it's as if, the rain wasn't getting to us,although on our left hand side, it was pouring.
I took hold of Shaun's hand, and we began to move a little faster.
While we were 50 m away from home, the rain was a little bit more heavy, but we were not getting that wet.
However, the moment we reached our house, it started to rain " Cats and Dogs." On hearing our testimony, Badriah ( our maid )came out to look and was amazed that it really was really a very heavy downpour, after we had reached home. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Then, on Friday night, I brought him to Marina Square.
After getting him his ( Shaun's) school's shoes, we went for dinner.
But, unfortunately, after our dinner, we couldn't find our vehicle.
We searched the area over and over again, for at least an hour, but without any success. we were both getting very despaired and fearful as it is about 10.05 pm., and we were worried that we might not be able to locate my vehicle.
Finally, I told my son, let's pray and asked God to help us.
We begin to search one more time, also without success, and I told my son; let's retraced back to where we came from and trust God.
Both of us went up again, and without any fear, we went to release ourselves. After that, we didn't even have to search at all, it suddenly daunt on us, that we went down the escalators twice, that is we went down an extra floor. Both of us almost instantaneously said, the car park is behind us. We went up one level, and the moment we step out of the exit, there it was, our vehicle, only 15m away.
OUR GOD IS GREAT!!!! FOR WHERE TWO OR THREE ARE GATHERED TOGETHER HE HEARS US. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

MANY OF US MAY HAVE DIFFERENT RELIGION, BUT OUR GOD IS MORE THAN A RELIGION. HE IS THE ONE WAY , THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE....NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM.
HE IS NOT A ' RELIGION'. HE IS A PERSON--- OUR PERSONAL GOD WHOM WE CAN RELATE TO AS ANY HUMAN RELATIONSHIP.
HE LOVES, HE CARES AND HE CAME TO SAVE ALL OF US.
MAY GOD HELP YOU TO FIND HIM TO BE TRUE, AS WE DID.

YESTERDAY, MY DAUGHTER AND HER FRIENDS WERE HAVING A SWIMMING COMPETITION, AND SHE WAS RELATING TO ME ABOUT A SWIMMING RELAY.
SHE SAID, SHE WAS SO DISAPPOINTED AT FIRSt, AS THEY WERE LOSING THE EVENT,ALMOST THE LAST TEAM. HOWEVER,AS THE LAST SWIMMER, SHE MANAGES TO OVERCOME THE REST AND FINISHED FIRST.
UNFORTUNATELY, SHE SAID, HER TEAM WERE DISQUALIFIED AS THE WINNER, BECAUSE ONE TEACHER CLAIMED THAT SHE JUMPED AHEAD , BEFORE THE THIRD SWIMMER TOUCHES THE WALL. SHE PROTESTED, BUT WHEN THE PRINCIPAL TOLD HER TO CALM DOWN AND TO TAKE HER LOST GRACIOUSLY, SHE SUBMITTED.
I WAS RATHER SURPRISED AT HER RESPONSE, AND I ENCOURAGED HER, AND TOLD HER THAT SHE ALREADY DID HER BEST, AND PERHAPS DID EAGERLY JUMPED INTO THE POOL IN ADVANCE, BY A MERE HAND TOUCH DOWN. BUT, I AM MOST IMPRESSED IS THAT SHE TOOK IT GRACIOUSLY.
WINNING AND LOOSING IN CERTAIN COMPETITION IS IMPORTANT, BUT THE ATTITUDE OF BEING A GRACIOUS WINNER OR LOOSER IS MORE IMPORTANT.BY SUBMITTING TO HER PRINCIPAL IS COMMENDABLE.
THESE SECULAR RACES ARE IMPORTANT, BUT THERE IS THE "SPIRITUAL RACE" WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THESE.

I FEEL INADEQUATE TO WRITE ABOUT THIS TOPIC.
HOWEVER, I FIND THAT THE PERVASIVENESS AND PERMISSIVENESS OF THE CURRENT SITUATION MAKES IT IMPERATIVE FOR ME TO WRITE IT.
IT IS INDEED AN IMPORTANT ISSUE FOR PARENTS AS WELL AS FOR CHILDREN TO CONSIDER , HOW WE MAY ACCOMODATE AND UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER BETTER IN DEVELOPING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER.
RECENTLY, THERE WERE A FEW COMMENTS ABOUT WHETHER WE SHOULD USE CANING AS A WAY OF DISCIPLINING OUR CHILDREN.
SOME COMMENTED THAT THEY STILL WOULD USE CANE TO DISCIPLINE THEIR CHILDREN.
WHILE OTHERS WOULDN'T AGREE TO IT, AND SAID THAT WE SHOULDN'T CANE OUR CHILDREN AS THEY ARE NOT TO BE TREATED AS " ANIMALS." BASICALLY, THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER IN DETERMINING WHAT KIND OF METHODS THAT WE SHOULD FOLLOW OR USE IN DISCIPLINING OUR CHILDREN. WHILE SOME CHILDREN ARE EASIER TO DISCIPLINE, AND OTHERS MAY NOT. IT'S ALL DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION AND THE TYPE OF TEMPREMENT OUR CHILDREN HAS. MORE IMPORTANT IS THAT THE METHOD WE USE MAY INDUCE A WELL BALANCE DEVELOPMENT IN THE GROWTH OF THE CHILDREN.

LET'S LOOK AT THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS, WRITTEN BY THE APOSTLE PAUL FOR SOME OF THE PRINCIPLES THAT WE CAN USE TO GUIDE OR DISCIPLINE OUR CHILDREN.

EPH. 6: 1 -  CHILDREN , OBEY YOUR PARENTS IN THE LORD, FOR THIS IS RIGHT.
               2 - HONOUR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER - WHICH IS THE FIRST COMMANDMENT WITH PROMISE;
               3 - THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU AND YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH. 
              4 - AND YOU FATHERS, DO NOT PROVOKE YOUR CHILDREN TO WRATH, BUT BRING THEM UP IN THE TRAINING
                    AND ADMONITION OF THE LORD.

EPH. 5: 25 - HUSBANDS, LOVE YOUR WIVES, JUST AS CHRIST ALSO LOVED THE CHURCH AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR HER.

COL. 3:18 - WIVES , SUBMIT TO YOUR OWN HUSBANDS, AS IS FITTING IN THE LORD.
              19 - HUSBANDS, LOVE YOUR WIVES AND DO NOT BE BITTER TOWARD THEM.
              20 - CHILDREN, OBEY YOUR PARENTS IN ALL THINGS, FOR THIS IS WELL PLEASING TO THE LORD.
             21 -  FATHERS, DO NOT PROVOKE YOUR CHILDREN, LEST THEY BECOME DISCOURAGED.

THESE ARE VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE WORD OF GOD.

MAY WE BE ABLE TO PUT WHAT WE HAVE LEARNT TO PRACTICE - BE UNITED IN THE BOND OF LOVE.

OUR FATHER, WHICH ART IN HEAVEN, MAY YOU GRANT US THE UNITY AND THE BONDING FOR ONE ANOTHER WHETHER AS PARENTS OR AS CHILDREN, THAT WE MAY BE UNITED AS ONE FAMILY IN YOU, THROUGH OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.

There are many people in our country who are actually " Intelligent."
However, sad to said, that many of them, misused their intelligence and authority.
Maybe they should start asking themselves, " WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROOF?"
What do you wish to gain?

I called to remembrance, a passage in the scripture, when the disciples were debating who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

JESUS ANSWERED:

....WHOEVER HUMBLES HIMSELF AS THIS LITTLE CHILD....
....WHOEVER RECEIVES ONE LITTLE CHILD LIKE THIS IN MY NAME RECEIVES ME.
BUT WHOEVER CAUSES ONE OF THESE LITTLE ONES WHO BELIEVE IN ME TO SIN, IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR HIM THAT A MILLSTONE WERE HUNG AROUND HIS NECK, AND HE WERE DROWNED IN THE DEPTH OF THE SEA.

MAY THE MEDITATION AND APPLICATION OF THESE WORDS TAKEN FROM THE SCIPTURES GIVES TO EACH ONE OF US A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING.
PURGING AND CLEANSE OUR HEARTS, AND SET OUR HEARTS AND MIND IN CHRIST.

TO HIM BE THE HONOUR, GLORY AND POWER BOTH NOW AND FOREVERMORE. AMEN.

What is life???
Well, that's seem to be the most difficult question to many, many people. To some life is to become famous, be successful. To others it may be to become the leader of a country, or perhaps the richest man on earth. As you can see the aboved mentioned aspiration or outlook in life is secular in nature. They centred on " Mammon "(Riches, Avarice and worldly gain )
Well, what then is the most important aspiration? Perhaps, helping the poor, giving to the needy - well, but if you don't have money, how to give? THINK????? Having a " MAY MUN CHIA TING " - a " Happy Family ."
Let's now look at what the Lord has to said." For I say unto you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. "You have heard that it was said those of old, You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgement."" But I say unto you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement. And whoever says to his brother, " Ra'ca! shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says ," You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. ( Why " Fool? " -- A fool says there is no God. )
Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. " Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you. " Leave your gift before the altar, and go your way.First, be reconciles to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 

The sinful nature in us will always warred against us, and we can overcome that by " Put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.Therefore, putting away lying, " Let each of you speak truth with his neighbour. " for we are members of one another." ( EPH. 4: 24,25 )

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. ( EPH. 4:32 )

" But fornication and all uncleaness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as fitting for saints." ( EPH 5:3 )

BELOVED, LET US LOVE ONE ANOTHER, FOR LOVE IS OF GOD; AND EVERYONE WHO LOVES IS BORN OF GOD AND KNOW GOD, FOR GOD IS LOVE. 1 JOHN 4:7,8"

" BEARING WITH ONE ANOTHER, AND FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER, IF ANYONE HAS A COMPLAINT AGAINST ANOTHER; EVEN AS CHRIST FORGAVE YOU, SO YOU ALSO MUST DO."  ( COL. 3:13 )

Our life is never a straight path. Well, many people have been living a " Roller coaster" life.
The main problem has to do with our sinnful nature. Referrring to last week posting, for example, many people do not wish to become a Christian because they think that being a Christian is no fun at all. You cannot do alot of things which the secular world is doing, like smoking, drinking, gambling, and cannot have other women.

For  " He who love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. 1 PETER 3:10a

Do not let your enmity turns to bitterness, and bitterness to hatred, and eventually it might lead to revenge or even murder.

BUT, FINALLY, ALL OF YOU BE OF ONE MIND, HAVING COMPASSION FOR ONE ANOTHER; LOVE AS BROTHERS, BE TENDERHEARTED, BE COURTEOUS; NOT RETURNING EVIL FOR EVIL OR REVILING FOR REVILING, BUT ON THE CONTRARY BLESSING.
1 PETER 3:8,9

....THAT HE NO LONGER SHOULD LIVE THE REST OF HIS TIME IN THE FLESH FOR THE LUSTS OF MEN, BUT FOR THE WILL OF GOD. 1 PETER 4:2 AMEN

It's been quite a while since I last wrote on choosing your leader.I was reading an article written by someone in the " Good News " magazine.Could Jesus Christ be Elected President?This article touch on What kind of platform?
To quote Jesus would not stand a chance...WHY?
Americans people demand that an electable leader be in agreement with them on a range of issues.Americans want religious freedom( or freedom from religion )to define God or gods in any way they want, freedom of choice to select abortion for unwanted pregnancies, freedom to enjoy their choice of entertainments, often with plenty connotations of illicit sex and violence.
Many wants unrestricted sextual freedom between two consenting adults; lesbianism, gay freedom etc.Freedom to define their own culture and lifestyle. Unrestrained freedom from divorce.Claim to want fairness, justice, economics and educational opportunity, but all according to their own defined terms.
Above all, they want to get the leader that best suits their desires and one that can create an utopia for them.Similarly,all people have somewhat the above mentioned ideology.
For example, some people claimed, to be a " Christian ", no fun; cannot drink, cannot smoke and cannot have woman( 3 most common vices of Man.)ASK YOURSELF: " IS THIS WHAT I WANT?'
However, there is :" TWO CHOICES; ONLY ONE."What do I mean by that?First, allow me to narrate to you the true story of the miracle of healing of the blind man.There was this blind man since birth.
As Jesus and His disciples were passing by, seeing this blind man; they asked Jesus , who sinned, this man or his parent?. Neither, Jesus answered, but that the works of God should be manifested.He proceeded to heal the blind man.
Later, some of his neighbour saw this blind man walking and now could see, was curious and asked him how he was healed. He told them it was Jesus. Then, they brought him to the Pharisees, and he told them the same answer.However, because it was the Sabbath, the Pharisees told him to denounce Jesus. The blind man answer that as He can open his eyes, Jesus must be a " Prophet."
The Jews did not believe that he was blind, and brought him to his parents to inquire.His parents claimed that the man is his son, but does not know why he is able to see now. He was born blind, but now he can see, ask him why? He is old enough to be able to answer for himself. His parents answered the Jews in this manner as they feared the Jews, who had agreed already that those who confess that Jesus is the Christ, shall be put out of the temple.The Jews told the blind man to give God the glory and said that this man is a sinner.But, the blind man again answered the Jews, whether He is a sinner or not I do not know.One thing I know is that I was blind , now I see.
They told him to revile Jesus.
The blind man answered them, " Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!" Now, we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshipper of God and does His will, He hears Him.
Since the world began it has been unheard of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was born blind.If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.
They answered and said to him,"you were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?" And they cast him out.
Jesus heard that he was being cast out; and when He had found him, He said to him, " Do you believe in the Son of God?"
He answered and said to him, " Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him."And Jesus said to him, " You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you."
Then he said , " LORD, I believe!"And he worshiped Him.

LUKE 16:13 - NO SERVANT CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS; FOR EITHER HE WILL HATE THE ONE AND LOVE THE OTHER, OR ELSE HE WILL BE LOYAL TO THE ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER. YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON.

ONLY ONE CHOICE!!!!!  MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!

ONLY ONE LIFE!!! WHAT'S DONE FOR GOD WILL LAST!!!  AMEN

I had a wonderful sharing session with some friends during the weekends.
Eventhough, most, or rather all of them are non Christians.
Somehow, God gave me the opportunity to share with them.
Was sharing with them a true story : - " TSUNAMI " which happened in 2004.Many of us are familiar with that disaster that rock the " World." I was drawing to them the attention of the ignorance, and perhaps, their greed too,which causes them to be so engrossed and estatic in going about to pick the fish, and that sheared their inability to understand the underlying danger of such a supernatural phenomena.
I was telling them ,that, had the Japanese shared their experiences with the rest of the world; about " Tsunami ", those people would had been saved from their ignorance; and perhaps from the disaster.
Drawing upon this phenomena, I was equating it to the " Different" God which most religions or people belief in. Now, with so many religions and beliefs; How then, can we know which God is true? Their reply was in the negative. However, I told them I am confidence in the God I believe in, and similarly, if I don't share with them my experiences, then, I would be held accountable to God by them, as they are my friends, and it it my responsiblity to bring them to Him ( God ).
The seed is sow, so may God stir their hearts too.

About a month ago, while I was worshipping with " The Salvation Army."
I chance upon the lyrics of this song, and may all who already know the Lord, be united with me in prayer for the people in this world. Amen. ( See Below )

It's timely for us to consider this question with regards to our daily living.
This is an important issue and many of us often acted out of " Ka po " (curiosity/ busy bodies ) rather than showing a genuine concern or compassion.
As Jesus was passing this place and noticed a blind man. The disciples wanting to know why this man was blind; asked Jesus , why?
Is it because of this man sin or his parents?
In ancient times and also at present, most people have this preconceived opinion that misfortune has a co-relation with a person own sinfulness,or that he is being punished because of his past generation; or parents sinfulness.
Now, Jesus answered them, neither the person or his parents sinned; that he was born blind, but that the majestic glory of God might be manifested.Obviously,their focus and perceptions were wrong, as most of us often committed the same mistake. The main focus should be not why the person was blind, but our main concern should be how we can HELP the person.
Jesus wanted them to have the same perception or " Heart " for this person.
Simply, a loving and compassionate heart - a heart to show love in action and genuine concern rather than merely wanting to know the reason for the person mishap or misfortune.
Pertinent and perenial point to ponder : - Do we rather gloat at a person misfortune or will we be able to show a genuine concern by rendering our help in one way or another.
THAT IS GENUINE LOVE IN ACTION.
May God enlighten us to be a more loving and gracious person.

A friend of mine had a great discourse with me regards to the legalising of "Prostitution" in a country.
It is enlightening to know that he seems to be able to distiguish for himself between the right and wrong of this issue.
Yet, many goverments, who are in authority are baffled by this issue, and are still " Torn" in between.
He was quick to concur with me, and affirmed his support for me; when I told him that the issue is very clear cut.
It is a sin to allow prostitution. But, let me add further, it is also an abomination to the Lord.
However, this has prompted me to think about the issue for choosing a good leader or government.
A good leader or government is important, as it will affect the lifestyle and the mind-set of the people.
If a government allows prostitution, taking this issue as an example, then the " Sex trade " will be flourishing, and the possible results of having more sexual diseases. Is this going to be healthy for the society?
The answer is obvious, yet oblivious to many, who obviously, chose to impertinently disagree, eventhough they knew that it is wrong. What do you think of this kind of people?
Now, there are many other issues in life that are of importants, but let us be mindful henceforth whom we will stand up for, or choose to be our "Example" or leader/Government.
With regards to the above issue on prostitution; how many of us as Christians ever protested or bring up the issue to our Government.
Let us as fellow Christians, stand united and stand up for true righteousness, justice and equality.
May God open your eyes to see the truth and stand for it.

It's almost one month since I wrote the last article.
Don't start blaming anyone, all that had happened is for everyone to ponder on the existence of God, to repent of their sins and to be reconciled (to get back ) to God.
Accountablility is what we all owed to God in the spiritual realm as well as what we do to our fellow brothers and sisters.
Do you remember what the Lord had said when He was being questioned about who or when did I ever serve you or do anything for you?
Jesus simply replied, " As long as you did it to the little ones , you did it for me."
There was this saying about the philosophy between the man Confucious, and the the teaching of Jesus.
Confucious puts it this way: " Do unto other as what others do unto you." Simply, put it whatever other people do it to you , you do like wise.
Chinese saying, " Ee Ya Whan Ya ." That is, what the people during Moses times also practice," An eye for an eye," and " A tooth for a tooth."
If you destroy one of my eye, you repay me with one eye. If you cause me to loose one tooth , you shall pay for it with one of your tooth.....etc. )- ( Please don't allow yourself to remained in the ancient time,....move on to progress....to a higher plane." )But, Jesus puts it in a higher plane ( understanding ) : " Do unto others as you would want others do to you."
I will not give you a straight answer as to the meaning, I want you to discover for yourself.
Accountablility, is the issue being presently discuss with regards to the recent case of the missing or escaping retainee; Mas Silamat.
It is of utmost important, as it's relates to leadership.
It will be a lenghty discussion which I'm not going into it.
But, let us all be assured that we, as Singaporean are all affected in some way or another. How deeply entrenched is our emotion or feeling with regards to this case depends on how we viewed or perceived it to be.
Of course, for those with " Tidak apa " attitude. ( Wouldn't careless ) - No effect.
How united as one citizen of Singapore? - This is to help you or provoke you to consider the issue.
How much do we care for one another as one nation, one people , or one world? ( We are the World, we are the people..." )
We want to work towards receiving a crown which is eternal; " Where moths or rusts would not cause it to ruined."
A nation who learns to care for one another is a nation that would stands out for eternity.
The Lord said, " Ask, and it will be given unto you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. Luke 11:9
Yes, it's so simply, but it's requires great " FAITH. "
Oh !!! really, Then that's as good as impossible!!! Not really, even if you have a faith as little as a " Mustard " seed.; it will suffice.
Only TRUST and OBEY.!!! To God nothing is impossible!!!
Only let not your heart be hardened!!! Believe and you shall be saved.!!!
@For those whos have " Eyes to See, let him See, and those whos have Ears to Hear let him Hear!." Amen.

P.S. If I can loose my life ( to appease anyone ), and that you may receive HIm;come and take my life. I'm no God, but, by God's grace and love, may it enables me to do that whichever I can to honour Him. Amen.

Well, I was told to write something for all of you on my birthday.
Couldn't find the time and also my internet connection was down.
Just manage to get it connected, by God's grace.
Why, because my line is having some problem, and it was intermittenly cut off , and I'm expecting the technical helper to come this Friday.
Let's get on to what I'm about to share with all of you.

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.
And His disciples asked Him, saying, " Rabbi ( meaning teacher ), who sinned , this man or his parents, that he was born blind? " ( For in those days, and even now ; some people still have the same misconception. ) Jesus answered, " Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. ".
Jesus heals the blind man.
Therefore the neighbours and those who previously seen that he was blind said, " Is not this he who sat and begged?"
Some said, " This is he. " Others said, " He is like him."
He said " I am he."
Therefore they said to him, " How were your eyes open?"
He said," A man called Jesus....."
My friends, do not be presumptous , and missed the truth, just like some of these people who couldn't even distinguished him, and said " He is like him."
Let those who have " Eyes to see and Ears to hear, let them see and hear."

Now, as "Good Friday " and " Easter Sunday " draws near; have we ever wonder why we are celebrating them?
What is the true significants of these two days?
Looking at the way some of us celebrated them, the " True " meaning seems to be lost.
Especially, on " Easter Sunday ", we or most people tends to equate it as having 'Easter " eggs.
In retrospect, I was once asked by a friend with regards to :- What do I think is the most important day to me, as a Christian?
Without much consideration, I was quick to replied that everyday is equally important.
However, upon much questioning, I told him that it is "Easter day."
He was puzzled, and he ask me why do I pick this day as the most important?
I simply told him, because that is the day where Christ resurrected...HE IS ALIVE!!!! - BOTH NOW AND FOREVERMORE.Yes, it is " AT THE CROSS ' - THAT HE PAID ONCE AND FOR ALL WITH HIS BLOOD, WHICH IS SHED FOR ALL OF US, SO THAT WE CAN ALL BE SAVED.
It is not by my good works, neither by any other means that I am saved.
So friends, as you celebrate " Good Friday," - REMEMBER HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS and " " EASTER SUNDAY " - REMEMBER HIS RESURRECTION
- HE IS ALIVE!!! HE CONQUERED OVER DEATH, SO THAT WE MIGHT RECEIVED EVERLASTING LIFE.

MATT. 8: 17...THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY ISAIAH THE PROPHET, SAYING ; ' HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND BORE OUR SICKNESS.'

#SO FRIENDS - WE DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO EARN OUR ' FREEDOM' - OR SALVATION ( GO TO HEAVEN ) - CHRIST PAID IT ALL.
YOU DID NOT HAVE TO SWEAR OR TRY TO PROOF ANYTHING - HE IS THE PROOF, HE IS THE ONE THAT YOU MUST SEEK, I AM JUST A TOOL FOR CHRIST.
FOCUS ON HIM - HE IS THE ONE..... THE ALMIGHTY ONE.
DO NOT HESITATE ANYMORE, COME AND RECEIVE HIS BLESSINGS!!!

It's very disheartening to have a leader who may be a " Christian " for many years, but still walks in the counsel of the ungodly.
This is why when we choose a leader, it is of utmost important to be able to choose a good one.
Now, how then can we choose a good leader , or what are the attributes of a " Good " leader.
The most important aspect is " Love " - love for God and mankind; for justice ( Ps. 37:28 ), righteousness and peace.
A man who seeks GOD FIRST ( Matt. 6:33 ), and eschew evil.

Only to be what He wants us to be.
The only way to walk upright is to stay focus in our walk with Him.
The decision we make in live must be centered on Him ( JESUS ).
Hence. we mustn't let ourselves be fooled by the " Evil " one.
We don't put ourselves in the hands of the devil and expect God to work miracle.
Once, you put yourself in his ( The Evil One )hand, you don't expect any mercy, for he is like a " Lion ", waiting anxiously and seeking those he may devoured.
Never ever, let yourselves fall prey into the hands of the evil one.
Never lose focus , but remain in Christ, be rooted and builded up in Him; and put on the " Armour of God " - Eph. 6:10-18

ONLY IN GOD CAN WE FIND MERCY, GRACE AND LOVE.

It's time for us to stand united as one in the Lord.
We as fellow members are one of another, each having it's own function and as such we much uphold one another in love and prayer.
It will be sad, if we called ourselves as one united people and citizens of a certain country, and yet we allowed groups of people to carry out these activities; for example like ostrasizing, mobbing ( illegal assembly ) and such like activities. These activities are detrimental to the welfare and social cohesion of a country.
By conniving with these people we fall into the trap of the evil one.
For the evil one comes to destroy and to cause confusion to the world.
Therefore, as children of God , we must stand united, for united we stand, and divided we fall.
May God grant us the unity, ONE FAITH, ONE LORD AND GOD.

So we have almost comes to the end of 2007.
Before we proceed to 2008, and make our new resolution, let us ponder and recapulate what or how much we have attained in fulfilling our resolution for 2007.
As for myself, I had already fulfilled my resolution to complete this year full marathon on 2nd December 2007.
But, the achievement is not my own, but for the glory of God.
I had managed a good timing for the first 20 odd kilometers, but at about 21 to 22 kilometers, my leg sinews had taken it's toiled.
Suddenly, I could feel the cramp coming, and at one stage, I could hardly moved. I was thinking to myself, that this is the end and probably I'm not going to make it to the finishing line.
Then, there was this girl who noticed the grimaces of my face, and approached me to enquire about my well being. I simply told her that I'm fine, except for the cramp on my left legs.
Well, the next 20 odd kilometers seems to be a difficult task, but I prayed and determined that even if I can't run, I would brisk walk all the way back. After the turned , and about 29 kilometers, I met a young man who was having trouble making it; and his mum was goading him on. I went beside him to encourage him on. Telling him to take it as an experience and walk back just to finish the run. He told me about his prowess,his recent timing of 4 hrs plus, which he had completed in Melbourne just about two weeks ago.
Well, I said, " That's very good." So, don't push yourself too hard and aggravate your knee which you don't feel too good at this moment; just relax and take in the sight, and make your way back slowly.
After that, I persisted on, half walking and occasionally, tried to run. Nevetheless, whenever I pick myself up to run again, soon the cramp followed. This happened several times, until towards the last five kilometers, I managed to run a little further, and finally on seeing the last 150 meters ahead, I ran towards the finishing line.
Well, that is the " Physical " battle, while I have also made two " Spiritual " resolutions, one to study the whole Bible through; almost completing it, still have another 27 days more to go.
The second, unfulfilled yet, but I am still praying for my wife and daughter salvation; that is, to come to know and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
Looking forward ,towards 2008, I would still be praying for them, that indeed the Lord may be merciful and opened their eyes and heart to Him.
Today, I came across an article in the " Googles news ",that an atheist, who is also a well known scientist, had discovered some truth about the existence of God. The proofs are there, but many still would not come to accept these facts. Even, with so many witnesses, from the time of His( Jesus ) birth , the miracles, the healings and the teachings, but most important of all is the fact that He fulfilled the prophecy of " Building the temple in 3 days." What exactly did He meant by that? Many of the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the Romans do not understand Him either. They mocked at Him , and said, we takes years to build the temple, and yet He claimed that He can build it in 3 days; that is ridiculous. But, they don't realised that He was referring to His body, where He would be put to death, and that He would rose again on the third day.
As Christmas approaches, what is the significance? Let us take heed and ponder over this awesome events on that faithful night some over 2,000 years ago, where many were witnesses.

For we did not follow " cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
For He received from God the Father honour and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: " This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
for the prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 16-21

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, " I am the Light of the world.He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12

It is very interesting to know that although, we are supposed to be considered a " Developed country," but yet we still persist to remain as only developing.
The time is now for us to move forward, and let us be an example for others to follow.
Unfortunately, we still have many people who have make a wrong choice in their alliance to do others a disservice as fellow citizens of Singapore, and indirectly tarnished the image of Singapore.
We must be wary of such a group of people, we must learn to be humble in order to move together as one people, one nation and "ONE SINGAPORE.'
Let those who are strong uphold those who are weak, and be united.
Don't let others belittle our country, that we have this internal strive among us, created by some unhealthy groups.( Especially Chinese against Chinese )
Do not let the " Blind lead the Blind," or else, all falls into the pit.
We want a leader that is capable, honest, upright, just ,and one who eschewed evil and have a heart for God, and also compassion for the people.
Someone, who looks forward and far, and like our former PM, now SM who put it in this manner: a " Helicopter mind."
We must be able to discern the right from wrong. Liberality must not lead to an erosion to immorality.Let our "Eyes, ears and our Hearts ; be open to the needs of others.
To GIVE is better than to RECEIVE.

Everybody is fighting for their own " Freedom."
Freedom from being controlled in one way or another.
Freedom to choose our school, work , house , wife , friends ,
religions , well ; everything.
But, all is vanity said Solomon the wises man on Earth.
True freedom and wisdom can only comes from no one but Jesus himself.
To obey, to know , to serve and to love Him that is true freedom.Why do I said that , well because it is through Him , that we are truly
set free from our bondage of sin. What then is " Sin?"
How do you know we all have sin? Many people think that, by doing good they can earned their way to heaven. They claimed that they have not done harm to anyone or anybody, so they do not have any sin. They do not realised that by merely saying a lie, whether " White " or " Black",( to God a lie is a lie ) they had already committed a sin. Even to look at a woman and to have any secret thoughts,
that is already a sin in God sight ( the wrong intention itself - fantasising ).
Anyway, God also told us that all of us are sinners, and that is why He is here to rescue us and to give us the true freedom.
Now the work of the flesh are evident, which are : adultery, fornication, uncleaness , lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkness, revelries, and the like;....that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
So my friend, let us be set free.
How?; by coming to Him. Accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour.
May all of you find true freedom, Come now ; do not delay.
Times and tides waits for no man.

If you have notice the last paragraph, you would have been able to guess what is that part of the body which is the " Window to our soul."
It is very interesting to examine deeper into the possible aspect of why this part of the body; " The Eye", is consider the lamp of our body.
What does Jesus meant when He commented about that?
Prior to this statement, we have the description of the people gathering before Jesus - for what purpose? As usual, Jesus knowing their intention, began to rebuked them for their evilness in seeking for more signs and miracles. Then, He briefly touch on the sign of Jonah, in comparison to His future death and resurrection; then also on Solomon, and a greater than Solomon is here. ( He is referring to Himself.) He continued to touch on the " Lamp ", which is here to give 'Light " to all mankind.
However, they were all " Blinded " by their own lust and desire. ( Always seeking only to be healed; or seeking for their selfish needs,and instead missed the most important aspect of life - eternal life. )- ( Wrong focus in life which only enable them to hid " Treasures "( eg. 5 Cs ) on this earth,but not in Heaven.)
They have eyes but could not perceive what Jesus is teaching them.
They are more concerned with fulfilling their duties and performing their traditions and customs, and thus, missed the " Truth."

The main gist of this teaching is about having a right perspectives in lives. Our main goal and focus must centred on God, to glorify Him in all that we do.
Happy reading, and my prayer is that as many people as possible may come to know Him.
